The Nest: History & Foundational Learning

The Nest: History & Foundational Learning

After I overcame homelessness, I became obsessed with learning everything I could about how such things happen.

  • What factors lead people to being homeless?
  • What advantages and disadvantages exist that impact people in our society?
  • Are some people just destined to be poor?

Through my journey, I learned about how money works, how history and laws became to be what they are, and who the people are that tug the puppet strings of wealth and poverty in this world. The information in this course took me a long time to compile. I don’t want you to be overwhelmed that you’re going to learn some history and basic economics. Actually, a lot of this stuff is super interesting and likely foreign to you. The Fenix Path teaches many lessons that will put you on a path to financial freedom. So, what? There are a lot of programs that do an inefficient job of that. What other financial coaching programs aren’t teaching is WHY

You might be thinking, “of course I know why I want financial freedom.” The reasons you are thinking are fine. However, they are also a bit superficial, because they truly fail to grasp what financial freedom really means.

Most people consider things like:

  • Pursuing the life they want
  • Less pressure to work
  • Maintaining relationship status
  • Improving their health
  • Less worry, more sleep
  • Having more control
  • Giving more
  • Take time for hobbies
  • Invest time in what matters
  • Becoming more creative
  • Experience more
  • Take more risks
  • Positively influence people
  • Retiring their parents

These are all fine reasons and will certainly keep you motivated but they pale in comparison to darker side of WHY. The real WHY is far more complex (and possibly discouraging) than you can imagine. You knew when you signed up for this program that I was going to drop some bombs on you. The Nest gives you the real WHY.

The Nest is my journey of continuing the pursuit of truth. It walks you chronologically through some pertinent American & World history with some economics sprinkled along the way. There are some heavy truths here. I warned you in the last course that the truth you discover in The Nest may be hard for some of you to embrace. The Nest will teach you things you can’t or don’t want to believe. At the same time, you may be affirmed on ideas you always thought we’re true. I told you that it might be uncomfortable. Rejection of the truth that you are about to receive doesn’t make it any less truthful. The people that reject reality are broken and so hopelessly dependent on the delusion that they will fight, reject, and resist to perpetuate it.

Here is your first hard truth:

The grim reality is that you have been surviving in a systemically-created delusion with the active goal of cheating you out of financial freedom, perpetuating inequality, and all the while distracting you from the actual truth.

Your poverty is a feature of our economic system. You are supposed to be poor. I realize that is a sucker punch. We’re going to fix that later but I need you to understand this. This course is all about showing you how this came to be. Some of what you will read in The Nest may actually piss you off. I’ve taught this course countless times over the years and the response I get most often after people learn what’s in The Nest is “Oh, fuck. That’s really depressing. The Nest breaks you down. We will start building you back up when you begin The Flock

You are about to step out of the cave that Plato was referring to. You can’t just walk back in to the cave and chain yourself back up as if nothing happened.

If you complete The Fenix Path and choose to go back to your old life of ignorance, you will quietly live with the knowledge that you are too weak and powerless to escape.

You will have tasted freedom, but will live knowing that you chose to give it up. Personally, I think that’s a stupid decision. Stupid is knowing the truth, seeing the truth, but still believing the lies. Some people aren’t ready for The Nest and that’s ok. Step away for a bit if you have to.

So that there’s no misunderstanding: The Nest is some pretty heavy shit.

After you complete this course, nobody will be able to undo the revelation of truth.

You can’t unlearn what you are about to learn.

After this, there is no turning back. If it’s not for you, that’s fine. Just walk away and this path will end for you. Everything will remain comfortably the same in your illusion of blissful ignorance. Nothing will change in your life and you can go on believing whatever the hell you want to believe. Life will go on exactly how it always has and no one will think less of you.

Completing The Nest prepares you for a totally different life. Everything you want is on the other side. All that is offered is the truth; what you do with that truth is up to you.
